Meet the Team – Our Directors

At the helm of Biochemica are our Directors, Managing Director Dave Ruddy and Dr Tim Robinson, Commercial and Technical Director. The duo saw the opportunity to build a water treatment firm based on the provision of complete solutions for water and wastewater treatment, focused on results.

The combination of our Directors’ different areas of expertise merged to allow Biochemica to become one of the UK’s only companies to offer water treatment and wastewater treatment services.

As an independent company, both Directors remain highly involved in the day-to-day operations of Biochemica and constantly aspire for innovation through new technologies and business growth. Supporting the business founders on the Board of Directors are Biochemica’s Compliance Director, Dave Stratford and Non Executive Director, Gary Lumby MBE.

Meet the Team – Biochemica Head Office

The ever-expanding Biochemica workforce is strategically located across the UK, enabling our customers doorstep access to our experts. As our head office is based in Teesside, the chemical capital of the country, most of our staff here are from the North East and we take pride in being a keen local employer. At head office, you can reach the cogs that turn the Biochemica machine behind the scenes. Providing support to our UK-wide workforce are key team members including Biochemica’s Chief Operating Officer, General Manager, Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Procurement and Logistics Manager, Corporate Communications Manager, Administrative Assistant, Warehouse and Distribution Manager, Warehouse Assistants and Apprentices, plus our wider support teams.

Meet the Team – Service and Field Staff

Biochemica’s multi-skilled service team provides the local support you need to keep your water systems functioning to the optimum standard by performing the required on-site tasks and giving the technical advice required to maintain clean, safe water within your operations.

All of our operatives are extremely competent in the field and have wide ranging experience gained through working with a diverse portfolio of clients. From the private and public sectors and multiple industries from automotive manufacturers and paper mills to football clubs and dental practices, we are able to offer team members with the capabilities best suited to your needs.

Biochemica’s service and field staff consist of Service Chemists, Water Hygiene Technicians and Supervisors, Service Engineers and Legionella Risk Assessors plus our dedicated wastewater specialists, located across the UK.

Meet the Team – Sales and Account Managers

Biochemica’s sales team is made up of technical experts, with each individual offering practical hands-on experience and industry knowledge from across the various areas of water and wastewater treatment. With expertise spanning from specific chemical applications such as antifoam use and sludge dewatering, to particular industry experience including the food and beverage and pharmaceutical markets, the team consists of technical and chemical divisions. This expertise allows Biochemica to extend the relevant and practiced services to meet your needs. No matter what your water or wastewater treatment challenges are, Biochemica has the appropriate team member to deliver the best solutions.

Biochemica’s sales team is supported by our service and field team, as well as our dedicated Account Managers at all levels of seniority to oversee the smooth running of client contracts. Account Managers can also be based on your site.
