Biochemica UK Ltd is taking part in Agile Group’s Annual Charity Football Tournament

The Biochemica UK Ltd team is gearing up to take part in a charity football tournament in a bid to raise money for six Teesside charities.

Set to take place at Middlesbrough Football Club’s Riverside Stadium on Saturday 3rd May, the Agile Group Annual Charity Football Tournament will raise funds for Zoe’s Place, Middlesbrough and Teesside Philanthropic Foundation, Teesside Hospice, Butterwick Hospice Care, Daisy Chain and MFC in the Community.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, organised by Agile Group, Biochemica will compete against the IT and communications firm as well as Wilton Engineering Services and Subsea Innovation, which pipped Biochemica to the goalpost to win the 2013 trophy.

Managing Director at Biochemica, Dave Ruddy said: “We’re really looking forward to taking part in this year’s competition. Our team is keen to win after coming so close last time!

“It promises to be a fun day for all the family, especially Middlesbrough Football Club fans with chances to win a signed MFC shirt, signed MFC ball, two Executive Box tickets and many other fantastic prizes, while helping all six of the local charities.

“Over the past year Biochemica and our staff have supported Zoe’s Place and Teesside Hospice through various fundraising efforts. Our Warehouse Operations Manager alone rose over £1,000 for Zoe’s Place by completing two demanding Coast-to-Coast rides so we’re delighted to contribute further to all of the great causes that will benefit from the day.”

Tickets for the tournament are £4 for adults and £1 for children and are available from Agile Group, which can be contacted on 0871 7002228. Alternatively, you can email David Elvis at Doors open from 9am with the first match taking place at 9.40am.
